Job summary

HealthPro Heritage in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our therapy team. The role offers 30–40 hours per week and opportunities to serve diverse settings across nursing facilities, hospitals, home care, schools, and clinics.

You will assess clients, create personalized treatment plans, educate families, document progress, and advocate for access to resources. A state license and OT degree are required; strong communication and patient-centered care are

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Valid state OT license or license eligible in Maryland.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and treatment planning abilities; excellent communication and patient-centered approach.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist patients and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
• Treatment and Education: Create personalized treatment plans and educate clients and families on improving daily activities.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans per standards.
• Advocacy and Support: Advocate for clients' needs and connect them with community resources.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Skills: Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist patients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
