Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to support in-facility care and resident rehabilitation. You will assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy to help restore independence.

We value teamwork and patient-centered care. The team includes a Director of Rehab; this role collaborates with peers and may involve referrals to ensure patients receive the care they need. A referral bonus program is available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
  • Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Valid and unencumbered OT license as required by the state of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy to help restore independence.
  • Design and implement programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients' physical abilities and independence.
  • Collaborate with peers and refer to other care providers to ensure patients receive the care they need.

As an Occupational Therapist, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will assess patient needs, develop their recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy.

You're equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual. You know your goal is the design of a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence.


You're adaptable to the needs of the patient and can find joy in the variety of the work and the settings.


You're a teammate and is looking for collaboration with your peers, but you're also happy to make referrals to help your patient get the care they need to thrive.

Qualifications


  • They must have a Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.

  • They must have initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

  • The Occupational Therapist must hold a valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.
