Job summary

Matthews Health & Rehab Center in Matthews, NC is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence in a skilled nursing facility. You will design and implement therapy plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a compassionate care team.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Therapy and an active state license; proficiency with EHR software and a patient-centered approach; full-time, part-time, or PRN shifts available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of employment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate health record software.

Responsibilities

• Return patients to optimal physical function and support achievement of therapy goals in a SNF setting.
• Instruct patients in maintaining function and independence post-discharge through education and home exercise plans.

Position Summary:

The primary function of your job is to return patient to optimal physical function and facilitate the achievement of patients, physicians, and therapy goals within a SNF setting. Instruct the patient in maintaining achieved level of function after discharge through education, independent exercise program, and appropriate activity modification.

Education/Qualifications:

• Employee must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.

• Must possess a current and valid license granted from state of employment.

• Must possess basic computer skills and the ability to navigate through various software programs, including service delivery software and the electronic health record software.
