Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join North Kansas City Hospital on a full-time days shift. The AM to PM hours run Monday through Friday in NKC Health Main Hospital Building, ARU unit, with a fast-paced, growth-oriented team.

You will develop treatment plans, document care, and collaborate with supervisors and family members to support patient recovery. Applicants should have an OT degree, valid state license, CPR, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to aid regaining well-being through exercise and/or prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and team; instruct family/nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle duties in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

North Kansas City Hospital is 48-bed Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) located in NKC Health Main Hospital Building. Our Unit is a very fast paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow! We have an amazing team with over 25 FT therapists!

What You Will Do In This Role

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help him/her achieve as much as possible in regaining his/her well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices. You and your staff will play an important role in his/her recovery.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
