Job summary

ML Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our in-house rehabilitation team supporting skilled nursing facilities. You will provide OT services per plan of care, collaborate with facilities and clients, and uphold professional standards while delivering high-quality patient care.

The role involves supervising COTAs and rehab technicians, managing cases, and ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations. A Texas OT license and geriatric experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing/Veterans Homes/healthcare as an OT leader.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Proficiency in Net Health Rehab as the primary operating software.
• Valid Occupational Therapist state license (Texas).
• Experience in health care / hospitality or related field.
• Passion for working in a retirement community with the geriatric population.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy services per plan of care and engage with facilities and clients.
• Maintain professional conduct and deliver quality patient care in accordance with OT principles.
• Supervise COTAs and Rehab Techs where required and manage caseload.
• Adhere to state and federal regulations governing occupational therapy.

The Job

Provide Occupational Therapy and related services for patients while maintaining positive levels of interaction with facilities and clients in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and within community guidelines. Provide quality patient care including ongoing treatment per a plan of care, supervision of COTAs and Rehab Techs (where required) and case management responsibilities. Maintain professional conduct that represents the commitment to quality and service in all interactions with clients, including positive levels of interaction and rapport with facilities and clients. Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding occupational therapy.

Must haves

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
