Job summary

Cypress Pointe Health and Wellness is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide skilled OT services in a SNF setting. You will develop and implement plans of care while maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients, and supervise COTAs and Rehab Techs as required.

The role requires an OT license, experience in geriatric care, and proficiency with Net Health Rehab along with strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing/Veterans Homes/healthcare as an OT Leader.
• Proficiency in Net Health Rehab as the primary operating software.
• Valid Occupational Therapist state license (Texas).
• Passion for geriatric care and working in retirement communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy and related services per plan of care.
• Supervise COTAs and Rehab Techs where required; participate in case management.
• Maintain professional conduct and uphold quality patient services.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for occupational therapy.

The Job

Provide Occupational Therapy and related services for patients while maintaining positive levels of interaction with facilities and clients in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and within community guidelines. Provide quality patient care including ongoing treatment per a plan of care, supervision of COTAs and Rehab Techs (where required) and case management responsibilities. Maintain professional conduct that represents the commitment to quality and service in all interactions with clients, including positive levels of interaction and rapport with facilities and clients. Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding occupational therapy.

Must haves

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing/ Veterans Homes/ or healthcare as a OT Leader
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
• Proficiency in Net Health Rehab as the primary Operating Software.
• Valid Occupational Therapist state license. (Texas)
• Experience in health care / hospitality or other related field.
• Possess a passion for working in a retirement community with the geriatric population.
