Job summary

ML Healthcare in Houston, TX is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our in-house rehabilitation team. You will provide OT services to residents in skilled nursing and veterans homes, following a plan of care and supervising COTAs as needed.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited OT program, a Texas license, proficiency with Net Health Rehab, and a passion for geriatric care. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing or Veterans Homes or healthcare as an OT Leader.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
• Proficiency in Net Health Rehab as the primary operating software.
• Valid Occupational Therapist state license (Texas).
• Experience in health care / hospitality or other related field.
• Passion for working in a retirement community with the geriatric population.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy and related services for patients while maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and within community guidelines.
• Provide quality patient care including ongoing treatment per a plan of care, supervision of COTAs and Rehab Techs (where required) and case management responsibilities.
• Maintain professional conduct that represents the commitment to quality and service in all interactions with clients, including positive levels of interaction and rapport with facilities and clients.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding occupational therapy.
