Job summary

The Plaza Health and Rehabilitation Center in Gainesville, FL seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our subacute rehabilitation team in a full-time role. You will evaluate residents, develop personalized treatment plans, and guide recovery to improve independence.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and physicians, you will monitor progress and adjust plans to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy required.
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure required.
Experience in rehabilitation or healthcare setting preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

Occupational Therapist (OT) - Full Time

The Plaza Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this rewarding role, you will work directly with residents in a subacute rehabilitation setting, helping them regain independence and improve their daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
Customized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each resident’s goals and rehabilitation needs.
Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize a variety of therapeutic activities and techniques to enhance residents’ functional abilities, mobility, and quality of life.
Patient and Family Education: Provide education to patients and their families on therapeutic strategies, adaptive techniques, and home exercise programs to support recovery.
Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and physicians, to ensure coordinated care.
Progress Evaluation: Regularly monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
