Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist in Ohio to join a community-focused rehabilitation center. The role involves inpatient and pediatric settings with a 50/50 split, Monday–Friday, 40 hours weekly, and a strong emphasis on patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing evidence-based plans, supervising OT aides, and ensuring compliance with practice standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
• Active Ohio OT license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Strong OT practice knowledge across inpatient and pediatric settings.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work variable days and hours.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care.
• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy to help patients achieve maximum functional outcomes.
• Provide care across the full age spectrum — neonate through geriatric.
• Treat orthopedic and neurological conditions in both inpatient and pediatric settings (50/50 split).
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT students.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with standards of practice, payer regulations, and facility policies.
• Apply critical thinking to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain professional, courteous communication and customer service.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members and departments.
• Support daily operations and data collection within the medical fitness center.

Job Type: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM–5:00 PM | Full-Time, 40 hrs. | 50% Peds / 50% Inpatient
