Sendero Therapies in Northeast Ohio is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a full-time or part-time role to deliver school-based therapy under IEP goals. The position emphasizes evaluation, evidence-based interventions, and collaboration with school teams.

You will document progress, support families and staff, and ensure services align with community and school district standards while maintaining professional ethics.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required for youth safety.
• Experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities.
• Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
• Active Ohio licensure as an OT.
• Pupil Services Certificate from the Ohio Department of Education is required to practice OT in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Perform school-based occupational therapy evaluations.
• Provide OT services using evidence-based interventions per IEP goals.
• Consult with educational team members for follow-up of evaluations and objectives.
• Document and chart in student records (quarterly reports, evaluations).
• Collaborate with team members for service delivery and family advocacy.
• Provide support to educational staff and students through RTI.
• Supervise OT assistants as needed in districts.
• Assist districts in developing OT policies and procedures.
• Provide in-service training for school staff and others in contact with students.
• Ensure timely billing documentation for services.

Sendero Therapies is currently seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Occupational Therapist to join our team in Northeast Ohio to provide quality therapy services. Our therapists specialize in the evaluation, treatment, and management of children with a variety of developmental, sensory, motor, neuromuscular, educational, and psychosocial disorders, who may experience functional performance limitations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform school-based occupational therapy evaluations
• Provide occupational therapy services using evidence based interventions and skilled techniques as indicated by the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) indicated by goals, objectives, frequency and duration of services for each student.
• Consult with appropriate educational team members for follow up of evaluation results and educational objectives
• Provide all necessary and required documentation and charting in student records, such as quarterly reports and evaluations.
• Collaborate with team members for delivery of services and advocacy for students and families.
• Provide support to educational staff and students through RTI.
• Act as a fieldwork instructor in the education of university students.
• The employee shall provide adequate and appropriate supervision (direct and indirect contact) of occupational therapy assistants at requested districts.
• Assist school district in developing policies and procedures for occupational therapy services rendered in that school district
• Provide in-service training for all school district staff and Company having contact with students.
• Provide Company with appropriate charge documentation for billing and collection on a timely basis.
• Maintain treatment and ethical standards consistent with those of the community, abiding by all school district(s) and Company rules.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree or Higher Required
• Current Ohio Licensure as Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Maintain valid CPR certification for youth
• Obtain and keep a Pupil Services Certificate from the Ohio Department of Education to practice occupational therapy in the State of Ohio
• Experience working with children that have developmental delays and/or disabilities.
