The Valley Hospital-Paramus is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of diverse ages with disabilities, injuries and diseases. The role uses functional activities, exercise, physical modalities, splinting, and activities of daily living to support therapy goals.

Education requires a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy; NBCOT Certification and NJ Licensure are required, with current BLS.

POSITION SUMMARY:To evaluate and treat patients in a variety of age groups with physical disabilities, injuries, and diseases utilizing techniques which incorporate functional activities, exercise, physical modalities, splinting, perceptual and cognitive training, and activities of daily living and work simulation.EDUCATION:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.EXPERIENCE:No previous experience required.SPECIAL SKILLS:National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certified and re-certified. NJ Licensure. Current BLS certification. Keyboard skills. Ability to perform work accurately and give attention to details. Ability to use effective critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to use effective time management to set priorities and perform job-related responsibilities. Ability to communicate and interact with the health-system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members.
