Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital, Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, AR seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant for inpatient rehabilitation. This PRN, daytime position involves evaluating patients, developing and delivering rehab plans, and collaborating with families and the care team to promote independence and safety in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapy license.
• CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with rehab documentation systems (preferred).
• Experience in rehabilitation setting (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to identify functional needs and goals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence in daily living.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions that enhance motor skills, cognition, and adaptive abilities.
• Document patient progress with accuracy and clarity.
• Partner with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment, and safety.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support patient success.
