Nemours Children's Health is hiring an Occupational Therapist (Full-Time) to join our team. This position is a split role between Malvern and Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, with a varied schedule across the two sites.

We provide occupational therapy for a wide age range from birth to 17, including involvement with Birth to Three Early Intervention. You will participate in a multidisciplinary team, with focus on evidence-based practice and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from ACOTE-accredited program required.
• Minimum 3–6 months experience or new graduates considered based on education.
• PA OT license required upon hire; dual Delaware license expected.
• PE and state clearances (PA) required on hire; will be background checked.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire; maintained during employment.
• Membership in professional organizations (AOTA or state) preferred.
• Pediatric clinical experience preferred.

Nemours Children's Health is hiring an Occupational Therapist (Full-Time) to join our team. This position will be a split position for both Malvern and Glen Mills, Pennsylvania.

Work Schedule:

Monday 11a-7p in Glen Mills

Tuesday 10a-6p in Malvern

Wednesday 11a-7p in Malvern

Thursday 10a-6p in Malvern

Friday 9a-5p in Glen Mills

This is a great opportunity to join a busy and growing Therapy team. We provide occupational therapy, evaluation for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, ranging in age from birth to 17. We are also an early intervention partner with Delaware’s Birth to Three Early Intervention Program, providing clinic-based services.

• Provides discipline specific patient examination, evaluation, intervention, documentation, parent/caregiver education, communication, and coordination of care with medical/clinical staff and outside agencies as appropriate within the discipline specific scope of practice and the guidelines designated by the department and the Delaware Valley policies and procedures. Actively participates in departmental education activities in order to expand knowledge of patient populations and evidence-based practice.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the care of all ages: pediatrics and adolescents. Demonstrates proficiency in the care of neonates as required by assignment.
• Able to provide occupational therapy services to a variety of patient types with recognition of his/her own limitations while seeking appropriate mentorship as needed.
• Completes timely documentation as required by departmental policy #7980.3.3, Joint Commission, and CARF standards.
• Attends meetings related to patient treatment and contributes to discussion as an interdisciplinary team member.
• Consults with other services, families, and outside agencies to recommend durable medical equipment, home/school modifications and transitional therapy program prior to discharge from therapy.
• Maintains knowledge of and familiarity with insurance referral/authorization process and documentation requirements related to therapy services.
• Completes all mandatory training; may include, but not limited to safety, infection control, corporate compliance, HIPAA, bioterrorism, CPR and program specific respiratory training.
• When required by assignment, participates in weekend/holiday inpatient coverage rotation.

Job Requirements

• Master's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited university required.
• Minimum of three (3) to six (6) months experience required. New graduates will be considered based on educational experiences.
• State of Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy license required upon hire.
• All clinical staff are required to hold a second license for Delaware. Must submit license or proof of application submission within 2 weeks of job acceptance, but thissecond license is not required to be active at the start of employment. All clinical staff will maintain dual licensure.
• Pennsylvania clearances are required upon hire for those with a Pennsylvania license or will be required as part of the onboarding process.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required within 6 months of date of hire and must be maintained for duration of employment.
• Member of professional specialty organizations (AOTA or state association) preferred.
• Clinical affiliation and/or work experience in pediatrics preferred.
