Nemours Children's Health in Malvern, PA is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our pediatric therapy team. The role involves evaluating and treating patients from birth to 17, coordinating care with families and other services, and supporting early intervention partnerships.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program, PA OT license, and willingness to obtain Delaware licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from ACOTE-accredited program.
• Minimum of 3–6 months of experience; new graduates considered.
• State license as Occupational Therapist in Pennsylvania.
• Dual licensure in Delaware required or pending within 2 weeks of hire.
• Pennsylvania child/healthcare clearances required.
• AHA BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Membership in AOTA or state association preferred.
• Pediatrics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine, evaluate, and treat pediatric patients from birth to 17.
• Document and communicate care plans with families and care teams.
• Collaborate with other services and outside agencies as needed.
• Provide education to caregivers and coordinate transitions of care.

Occupational Therapist (Malvern) (Finance)

Nemours Children's Health is hiring an Occupational Therapist (Full-Time) to join our team in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday, hours as follows: Monday 10-6, Tuesday 11-7, Wednesday 10-6, Thursday 11-7, Friday 9-5

This is a great opportunity to join a busy and growing Therapy team. We provide occupational therapy, evaluation for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, ranging in age from birth to 17. We are also an early intervention partner with Delaware's Birth to Three Early Intervention Program, providing clinic-based services.

Responsibilities

• Provides discipline specific patient examination, evaluation, intervention, documentation, parent/caregiver education, communication, and coordination of care with medical/clinical staff and outside agencies as appropriate within the discipline specific scope of practice and the guidelines designated by the department and the Delaware Valley policies and procedures. Actively participates in departmental education activities in order to expand knowledge of patient populations and evidence-based practice.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the care of all ages: pediatrics and adolescents. Demonstrates proficiency in the care of neonates as required by assignment.
• Able to provide occupational therapy services to a variety of patient types with recognition of his/her own limitations while seeking appropriate mentorship as needed.
• Completes timely documentation as required by departmental policy #7980.3.3, Joint Commission, and CARF standards.
• Attends meetings related to patient treatment and contributes to discussion as an interdisciplinary team member.
• Consults with other services, families, and outside agencies to recommend durable medical equipment, home/school modifications and transitional therapy program prior to discharge from therapy.
• Maintains knowledge of and familiarity with insurance referral/authorization process and documentation requirements related to therapy services.
• Completes all mandatory training; may include, but not limited to safety, infection control, corporate compliance, HIPAA, bioterrorism, CPR and program specific respiratory training.
• When required by assignment, participates in weekend/holiday inpatient coverage rotation.

Job Requirements

• Master's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited university required.
• Minimum of three (3) to six (6) months experience required. New graduates will be considered based on educational experiences.
• State of Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy license required upon hire.
• All clinical staff are required to hold a second license for Delaware. Must submit license or proof of application submission within 2 weeks of job acceptance, but this second license is not required to be active at the start of employment. All clinical staff will maintain dual licensure.
• Pennsylvania clearances are required upon hire for those with a Pennsylvania license or will be required as part of the onboarding process.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required within 6 months of date of hire and must be maintained for duration of employment.
• Member of professional specialty organizations (AOTA or state association) preferred.
• Clinical affiliation and/or work experience in pediatrics preferred.
