Roadrunner Home Health is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our in-home care team in New Mexico. You will evaluate patients in their homes and develop individualized therapy plans to improve daily living skills and independence.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, providing in-home interventions, tracking progress, and educating patients and caregivers, while adhering to policies and regulatory requirements. A compassionate, team-oriented approach is essential.

Competenze

• Valid NM Occupational Therapy license.
• 2+ years in home health preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of EMR systems is a plus.

Mansioni

• Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver in-home OT interventions and adaptive equipment.

Job Description:

As an Occupational Therapist with Roadrunner Home Health, you will work with patients in their homes to help them regain or develop the skills needed for daily living and working. You will be responsible for evaluating and developing individualized therapy plans and interventions to address a variety of physical, emotional, and cognitive conditions.

• Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide therapeutic interventions in the patient’s home setting, including exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive devices.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet goals.
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve daily living skills and safety.
• Document patient progress and treatment plans according to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, trends, and techniques in occupational therapy.
• Provide a compassionate and professional approach to therapy services.
• Attends required meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in New Mexico.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• At least 2 years of experience in home health or a related setting (preferred but not required).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in home health therapy.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
