Job summary

Select Medical Rehabilitation - Miami Lakes is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in our inpatient rehabilitation unit housed inside Select Specialty Hospital - Miami Lakes.

The role involves developing and adapting treatment plans to address brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and trauma, while supporting career growth and personal well-being.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure as an OT.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans.
• Delegates and directs therapy services for assigned patients and designs programs for functional community return.
• Educates patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care and therapy service delivery.

• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.

• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
