Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is hiring an Occupational Therapist for the White Oak Medical Center inpatient rehabilitation unit. The role involves initial exams, treatment planning, and coordination with the care team to support patient progress.

Eligible candidates receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus; position is full-time (40 hrs/week) with a typical Monday–Friday day schedule. Non-exempt status and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 1 year of site-specific experience preferred
• Active Maryland OT License
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform initial examination and evaluation to establish impairment, prognosis, and plan of care for rehab needs.
• Provide or supervise therapy interventions aligned with evaluation and plan of care.
• Plan for discharge with follow-up or referral in coordination with team.
• Communicate, coordinate, and document all patient management activities with care team; supervise rehab aides and volunteers.
• Manage scheduling to accommodate census and caseload; attend team meetings and communicate patient status.
• Engage in professional development activities and provide education to patients and the public.
