Job summary

Tampico Healthcare Center in Walnut Creek, CA, is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our in-house therapy team. You will evaluate patients post-referral and collaborate across disciplines to deliver short- and long-term rehabilitation care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in a timely manner following physician referral
• Develop effective treatment plans and provide education for clients, families, and caregivers as a subject matter expert
• Communicate with supervisors and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records according to company policy
• Provide accurate and timely billing records and supporting clinical documentation
• Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs
• Coordinate necessary durable medical equipment and adaptive equipment for patients to facilitate safety and independence in ADL's
• Observe confidentiality and safeguards for all patient information
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
