Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess clients and design comprehensive OT treatment plans. You will conduct evaluations, provide targeted interventions for functional, cognitive, and behavioral impairments, and document plans to guide therapy.

You may supervise assistants and students, educate clients to improve outcomes, and adapt therapy programs to meet regulatory and departmental guidelines. A valid OT license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist.
• NBCOT certification preferred when applicable.
• May require a valid driver’s license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments.
• Conduct evaluations and provide interventions for functional, cognitive or behavioral impairments.
• Document information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans; modify as needed.
• Educate clients to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes.
• May supervise assistants, aides, and students; provide ongoing education to peers.
