Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
• Up to one year of work-related experience or equivalent in hospital/SNF setting preferred.
• Requires a current state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Requires a current certification in Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers occupational therapy programs and treatments in acute care and SNF settings.
• Directs plan of care of patients with COTA; supervises COTA and educates patients, families and staff about care plans.
• Performs initial and discharge evaluations, sets goals and treatment plans, and documents appropriately.
• Develops treatment plans and performs optimal treatment to meet functional goals.
• Communicates with manager and other health care team members about patient progress and plans.
• Records daily treatment notes, charge tickets, and ensures timely documentation.
• Maintains production levels as defined by the organization and complies with state OT practice act.
