Job summary

Crisp Regional Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the interdisciplinary team in providing high-quality patient care in Georgia. The OT collaborates with professionals, interacts with patients and families, and leads plan-of-care activities with a COTA and staff.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, an active Georgia OT license, and BLS certification, with prior hospital or skilled nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
• Up to one year of work-related experience in hospital or skilled nursing facility setting preferred.
• Requires a current state license as an Occupational Therapist and current Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers occupational therapy programs for patients in acute care, skilled nursing facility, and/or home health settings.
• Directs plan of care of patients with COTA and supervises COTA relative to patients’ plans of care.
• Performs initial and discharge evaluations, sets goals and treatment plans, and documents appropriately.
• Delivers timely treatments to meet functional goals and communicates progress to the team.
• Maintains accurate daily treatment notes and documentation; records charges promptly.
• Meets production requirements for occupational therapy as defined by the organization.
• Complies with Georgia State Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
• Maintains safety and infection control and participates in performance improvement.
• Projects a professional image with staff, patients, families, and visitors.
• Attends professional development programs and continuing education as required.
