Job summary

Swedish Hospital in Highland Park is seeking an Occupational Therapist II for inpatient care. Full-time role with Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., plus rotation into two weekend days per month and holiday coverage.

You will perform advanced evaluation, treatment, and follow-up, maintain patient records, and participate in supervising students. Requires OT degree and IL license eligibility; BLS/CPR and inpatient OT experience are required. Premium pay and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Inpatient OT experience required.
• Education: degree in OT with eligibility for IL licensure.
• BLS/CPR certification required; NBCOT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced evaluation, treatment and follow-up for referred patients.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records including evaluations and discharge summaries.
• Participate in clinical supervision of students.

Hourly Pay Range:

$39.44 - $61.13 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Occupational Therapist II, Inpatient
• Location: Highland Park Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Full time
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00a - 4:30p
• Rotation into 2 weekend days/month
• Holidays: 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
• Required Travel: no

What you will do:

• Provide advanced evaluation, treatment and follow-up services to physician referred patients
• Prepare and maintain accurate patient records including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries and billing
• Participates in the clinical supervision of students

What you will need:

• Education: Bachelor of Science from a school of Occupational Therapy or a Master's degree from an accredited college or university approved by the AOTA and the Council on Medical Education of the AMA.
• License: Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of IL
• Certification: BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association required, OTR certified (NBCOT preferred)
• Experience: Inpatient Occupational Therapy required
