Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and serve as a positive ambassador for Rehabilitation Services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program and B.S. degree.
• No experience required; 1–2 years in an academic/large medical center preferred.
• Current CT OT license; BLS certification within two months of hire.
• Strong observation and communication skills; ability to work with patients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician referrals to perform basic clinical evaluations.
• Utilize assistants and staff to deliver patient care safely.
• Delegate to therapy assistants and supervise staff with proper documentation.
• Maintain concise patient care documentation and billing per policy.
• Engage in professional development through department in-services.
