Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Infirmary Home Care, part of the Optum family, is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT, OTR/L) to join our home health team in Alabama. You will assess and plan therapy focused on activities of daily living, mobility, and adaptive equipment, delivering care in patients' homes with evidence-based practices.

You will work within the care team, document patient progress, and coordinate with physicians.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama OT license.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle or public transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides service within the scope of practice and plan of care.
• Evaluates patient functional status and collaborates with physician on therapy plan.
• Assesses patients, documents progress and responds to changes in condition.
• Conducts patient assessments using functional ability tests.
• Function in diverse home settings and with varied client backgrounds.
