Job summary

Optum's Infirmary Home Care in Alabama is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT/OTR/L) to assess and address patients' daily living skills and adaptive equipment needs in home health settings.

You will work within CMS guidelines, coordinate with the care team, and participate in a pay structure that includes per visit points and hourly pay, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in Alabama.
• Current driver's license and access to reliable vehicle or public transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides OT services within the scope of practice and plan of care in coordination with the health care team.
• Evaluates functional status and CMS documentation needs; consults with physician on therapy plan.
• Observes, records and reports patient responses to treatment to supervisors and physicians.
• Conducts functional assessments using standard tests to determine levels of function.
• Works effectively with diverse patients in home settings.
