Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT, OTR/L) to join the Infirmary Home Care team delivering home health OT services. You will assess functional status, ADLs, and home safety, coordinating with physicians and nurses to build patient-centered therapy plans and ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Alabama OT license.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• CPR certification preferred (within 90 days).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care needs related to ADLs, functional status, and home assessments.
• Develop and coordinate therapy plan with physician and health-care team.
• Observe and report patient progress and changes to care team.
• Conduct functional assessments using standard tests.
• Provide OT services in diverse home settings regardless of client background.
