Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Harris Home Health division is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess and treat patients in home settings, focusing on functional status, ADLs, fine motor skills, and home safety. This role involves coordinating with a care team to deliver evidence-based therapy tailored to each patient’s needs.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.

Responsibilities

• Provides service within the scope of practice as defined by state laws, in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and in coordination with other health care team members.
• Evaluates the patient's functional status and needs; consults with physician to develop therapy plan of care.
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses and changes to condition to the nurse and physician.
• Conducts patient assessments evaluating functional ability.
