Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist for Home Health roles, offering a $10K sign-on bonus for full-time external candidates. This position provides assessment and care planning for functional status, activities of daily living, and adaptive equipment to support patient independence.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, document CMS-relevant status, and coordinate with physicians to implement effective therapy plans.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
• NJ-specific requirements: OT certification and NBCOT registration; at least 1 year of OT experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides service within the scope of practice as defined by state laws, in accordance with the plan of care.
• Evaluates the patient’s functional status and CMS documentation needs; consults with the physician on care plans.
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses and changes to the condition.
• Conducts patient assessments evaluating functional level using standardized tests.
