Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy required; license obtained on/after Jan 2007 or foreign equivalent.
• OT licensure in all applicable states; CPR or BLS certification required; valid driver's license and 21+.

Responsibilities

• Completes evaluations and develops individualized treatment plans.
• Provides therapy interventions and discharge planning following protocols.
• Maintains accurate clinical documentation and supervises assistants.
• Communicates plans and progress to relevant team members.

Job Summary:

Plans and conducts segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social and mental functions, while meeting department objectives. Serves as co-leader in interdisciplinary approach to patient groups.

Job Requirements:

• Education and Work Experience: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD): Required; only if obtained license on or after January 2007; or foreign equivalent.
• Licenses/Certifications: Occupational Therapy licensure in all applicable states of practice: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required.

Essential Functions:

Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses assessment areas that require attention. Uses appropriate clinical techniques and tools and establishes individualized treatment plans for patients. Provides therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques. Establishes individualized care and discharge plans and ensures plans are communicated to appropriate parties. Completes comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines. Supervises assigned assistants. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
