Job summary

Adventist Health in Washington State is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OTD or equivalent) to plan and conduct segments of treatment programs aimed at restoring physical, social, and mental function. The OT works as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.

Responsibilities include evaluations, individualized care plans, therapy interventions, discharge planning, and accurate clinical documentation, with supervision of assistants as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) is required
  • Licensure in OT in applicable states is required
  • CPR/BLS certification and valid driver's license are required

  • Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses assessment areas that require attention.
  • Develops and implements individualized treatment plans to restore/maintain function.
  • Administers therapy interventions using approved protocols and techniques.
  • Establishes discharge plans and communicates them to care teams.
  • Performs accurate clinical documentation within deadlines.
  • Supervises assigned assistants and supports their development.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Plans and conducts segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social and mental functions, while meeting department objectives. Serves as co-leader in interdisciplinary approach to patient groups.

Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD): Required; only if obtained license on or after January 2007; or foreign equivalent.

Licenses/Certifications

Occupational Therapy licensure in all applicable states of practice: RequiredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredValid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required

Essential Functions
  • Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses assessment areas that require attention.
  • Uses appropriate clinical techniques and tools and establishes individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provides therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques.
  • Establishes individualized care and discharge plans and ensures plans are communicated to appropriate parties.
  • Completes comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines.
  • Supervises assigned assistants.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
