Job summary

BayCare HomeCare in the Tampa Bay area is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to deliver skilled in-home OT services across Tampa Bay, Lakeland, Sarasota, and Bradenton. You will assess patients, develop tailored treatment plans, and collaborate with a team to promote recovery and independence.

This full‑time role requires Florida OT licensure, BLS/BRC certification, and a valid Florida driver’s license. Prior home care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Florida OT licensure required.
• BLS or BayCare BRC certification required.
• Florida driver’s license within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and develops OT treatment programs for patients.
• Provide clinical direction for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

• Shift Hours: Monday - Friday / 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The Home Health OT provides hands‑on care in the home for a group of patients consistently using the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy. Responsibilities include:

• Evaluates and develops specific treatment programs for individual patients based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy.

• Responsible for providing the appropriate level of clinical direction for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

• Required BLS or completion of BayCare's Basic Resuscitation Course (BRC).

Required Certifications and Licensures:

• Occupational Therapist State of Florida Licensure

• Basic Life Support

• Driver's License State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire)

Education:

• Bachelors Occupational Therapy

• Preferred Masters Occupational Therapy

Experience:

• 1 year Occupational Therapy experience

• Preferred 1 year Home Care
