Job summary

BayCare Health System's BayCare HomeCare seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist to deliver in-home therapy to patients in the Lakeland area.

The OT will evaluate, plan, and implement treatment programs, supervise assistants, and ensure compliance with Florida licensure and BLS requirements. Weekend work is occasional, on-call not required.

Qualifications

• Florida OT licensure required.
• BLS certification or BayCare Basic Resuscitation Course completed.
• Experience in home health preferred.

Responsibilities

The Home Health OT provides hands‑on care in the home for a group of patients consistently using the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy. Responsibilities include:

• Evaluates and develops specific treatment programs for individual patients based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy.
• Responsible for providing the appropriate level of clinical direction for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Required BLS or completion of BayCare's Basic Resuscitation Course (BRC).

Required

Certifications and Licensures:

• Occupational Therapist State of Florida Licensure
• Basic Life Support
• Driver's License State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire)

Education

• Bachelors Occupational Therapy
• Preferred Masters Occupational Therapy

Experience

• 1 year Occupational Therapy experience

Preferred

• 1 year Home Care
