Job summary

Medical City Plano is hiring an Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehab to help patients regain independence and confidence after illness or injury. You will join an interdisciplinary care team, evaluate needs, develop individualized plans, and provide evidence-based therapy that supports recovery.

You will mentor students or therapy assistants, document outcomes, and educate patients and families to build understanding and engagement throughout recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• OTR (Registered) or OT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients' functional abilities and needs, developing therapy plans with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitoring progress, adjusting plans, and ensuring timely documentation of outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding and engagement during recovery.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care.
