Job summary

Select Physical Therapy in Orange Park, FL is seeking a Per Diem Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic center. You will evaluate, treat, and discharge patients while mentoring for CHT credentials and collaborating with a network of therapists.

Eligible candidates may have level II hand fieldwork or CHT preference; experienced therapists benefit from nationwide mentorship and extensive CEU programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA-accredited school of occupational therapy.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and supervise assistants and aides; participate in case management.
• Maintain high standards of care; stay current with OT research and apply evidence-based practice.
• Provide comprehensive, individualized evaluation, treatment plan, and discharge planning.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with centers, patients, and staff to expand referrals.

Compensation:$38.00-$50.00/hour pending experience

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Per Diem Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for ouroutpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
• High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
• Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
• CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
• Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
