Job summary

Select Medical's NovaCare Havre de Grace is seeking a locally-based Hand Therapist (Occupational Therapist) for per-diem coverage in our outpatient orthopedic center. Compensation is $50.00–$55.00 per hour, with opportunities for in-person and online CEU courses.

Preferred: certified hand therapist (CHT) or 2+ years of hand therapy experience, including splinting. Schedule varies, with potential steady hours as referrals grow; center operates 7A–7P, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
• Stay current with occupational therapy research and use Evidence Based Practice.
• Provide comprehensive, individualized treatment from evaluation to discharge.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients to enhance client relations.

NOVACARE in Havre de Grace, Maryland, is seeking local Hand Therapists (Occupational Therapists) for ouroutpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with at least 2 years of hand therapy experience, including splinting and splint fabrication. Additional hand therapists on staff.

Schedule: As needed, per diem hours for coverage. Our center is open as early 7A closing at 7P Monday through Friday. Steady hours may be possibleas our referrals grow.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
• High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
• Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
