Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a full-time Hand Therapist-OTR for our outpatient orthopedic center in Gilbert, AZ. Join a dynamic team including 5 physical therapists, 2 occupational therapists and 1 CHT, with mentorship and growth opportunities in a national hand therapy program.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an AOTA accredited school of Occupational Therapy and state OT License required.
• Experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedics is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan of care, treat, re-evaluate, discharge, and communicate high quality hand therapy services to patients.
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management and quality patient care.
• Maintain positive interaction with facilities and clients; expand client relations with staff.
• Stay current with Occupational Therapy research and apply evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
• Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
• Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an AOTA accredited school of Occupational Therapy and state OT License required

• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
