Job summary

Mercy in Illinois is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs. The role requires licensure eligibility in the hiring state and current BLS certification, with a readiness to respond to emergencies.

Preferred NBOT certification is beneficial. You will contribute to department growth, participate in special projects, and support patient care programs while working weekdays with occasional weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state, may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
• National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by organizing and conducting occupational therapy programs as prescribed.
• Promote growth and development of the department by assisting in special projects and coordinating activities in patient care programs.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.
