Job summary

Mercy in Columbia, IL seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide patient care through organized, prescribed programs, within the state practice act and regulatory guidelines. The role supports department growth and participates in special projects.

Requirements include a graduate OT program, active license or eligibility, and BLS certification; NBOT certification is preferred. Weekday hours with weekend rotation apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility in the hiring state; temporary license up to 90 days.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
• National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs.
• Promotes growth and development of the department by assisting in special projects and coordinating activities.
• Complies with state practice act and governing bodies.
