Spire Orthopedic Partners' SMN Centennial in Peabody, MA is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to promote independence and restore daily living skills. You will perform comprehensive patient evaluations, develop plans, and supervise students as needed, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and safe care.

Requires MA licensure, Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy, CPR, hand therapy/orthopedics experience, and splinting skills.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy program and hold a Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Massachusetts license to practice Occupational Therapy is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience in hand therapy and orthopedics is preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality is essential.

Responsibilities

• Promotes maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to patient capacity and interests.
• Provides comprehensive evaluation and sets realistic short- and long-term goals.
• Prepares patients for daily living activities and home employment through treatment plans.
• Monitors progress and adjusts plans accordingly; documents outcomes.
• Supervises COTA/OT students as needed and coordinates with physicians and staff.
• Completes discharge planning and home exercise instructions; ensures continuity of care.
