Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners is seeking an Entry Level Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered therapy across Peabody and Gloucester sites. You will evaluate, plan and implement occupational therapy services with focus on rehabilitation and daily living activities.

The role requires MA licensure, a Master’s in Occupational Therapy, and CPR certification, with a split schedule between locations. Expect a dynamic team, ongoing professional development, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated and completed professional Occupational Therapy training from an accredited program leading to, at minimum, a Bachelor's degree.
• Must maintain current state Licensure through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Allied Health Division of Professional Licensure.
• Must be CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Promotes maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to individual's physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest.
• Provide comprehensive patient evaluations to set realistic short- and long-term goals and plans.
• Prepares patients for return to all aspects of daily living including home and employment by determining potential difficulties and implementing treatment plans.
• Evaluates results of occupational therapy by observing progress and implementing adjustments.
• Maintains appropriate patient caseload meeting metrics of 60–65 pts/week for a 40-hour week.
• Participate in monthly staff meetings.
• Supervise COTA, OT/COTA students as needed.
• Completes discharges and all paperwork timely and consults with physicians and nurses.
