Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners in Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Gloucester clinic. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized therapy plans, and guide return-to-work and daily living activities with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated and completed professional Occupational Therapy training from an accredited program leading to, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree.
• Must maintain current MA licensure through the Commonwealth MA Allied Health Division.
• CPR certification is required.
• Strong hand therapy and orthopedic experience; splint fabrication skills (CHT preferred).
• Familiarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations, and related policies.

Responsibilities

• Promotes independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to patient capacity, intelligence, and interest.
• Provide comprehensive patient evaluations and set realistic goals and plans.
• Prepare patients for return to daily living including home and employment by planning for difficulties and implementing plans.
• Evaluate progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain patient caseload to meet metrics (60–65 pts/week for a 40-hour week).
• Supervise COTA, OT/COTA students as needed; participate in staff meetings.
