Job summary

Sandstone of Tucson is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary care team in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting. This full-time or PRN opportunity offers a chance to evaluate residents, create individualized treatment plans, and support daily living, mobility, and independence.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited OT degree, NBCOT, active Arizona license, and strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nurses and physicians while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful NBCOT certification completion.
• Active Arizona Occupational Therapist license required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and therapy team members.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge plans per regulations.
• Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment.
