Job summary

Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes, MN is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, treat, and implement care for patients in accordance with AOTA standards and Essentia Health policies.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, handle documentation and discharge planning for a full caseload, supervise support staff, and participate in department activities; a casual, shift-based position with Saturday coverage and a strong emphasis on ongoing education and professional growth.

Qualifications

• OT degree from an accredited program (Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate).
• Current state licensure as Occupational Therapist.
• Ability to perform therapy evaluations and discharge planning.
• Strong communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge planning for a patient caseload.
• Manages documentation, billing, scheduling, and other admin duties for a full caseload.
• Supervises support staff and coordinates with therapy team.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes.
• Coordinates with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.
