Job summary

Avondale Health and Rehab in Tennessee is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to plan, organize, develop, and direct OT services in the facility, ensuring the highest quality resident care in line with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.

The position offers flexible scheduling with full-time or PRN per diem options, competitive pay, and a supportive team. You will screen residents, develop treatment plans, document and bill accurately, and mentor COTA under supervision.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Active TN Occupational Therapy license required
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular resident screenings to identify best interventions
• Evaluate residents and develop treatment plans with short- and long-term goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings to residents, families, and interdisciplinary team
• Establish individual therapy schedules in collaboration with the team
• Document and bill occupational therapy services per plan
• Perform duties to effectively treat patients as assigned
• Oversee COTA and ensure proper documentation and reimbursement practices
