Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND seeks an Occupational Therapist to assess clients and design treatment plans to help them perform daily tasks. The therapist conducts evaluations and delivers interventions for clients with functional, cognitive or behavioral impairments, coordinating with care teams to improve outcomes.

You will evaluate abilities, develop goals, document progress and ensure compliance with guidelines.

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist.
• NBCOT certification is preferred for some facilities.
• May require a valid driver?s license where applicable.
• Maintains required department competencies and certifications.
• BLS for health care providers required or within first 60 days of employment.
• New grads with temp license in ND/SD/IA/MN considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and provide interventions for clients with functional, cognitive or behavioral impairments.
• Evaluate physical, cognitive, developmental and psychosocial abilities; develop therapy goals and administer OT programs.
• Document client information for evaluation; establish and modify therapeutic plans as needed.
• Provide education to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of age-related treatments and current research in daily treatment.
• Collaborate with providers, case managers, families and third parties; supervise assistants or students as needed.
• Promote department and Sanford Health initiatives; adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Work may focus on post-acute, long-term care, and home health care environments.
