Job summary

Sanford Health's Beatrice Good Samaritan facility seeks an Occupational Therapist to assess clients and develop treatment plans aimed at improving daily living skills. You will work with a close-knit team in a rural community, providing rehabilitative care across post-acute to long-term settings.

The role emphasizes collaboration with PTs, COTAs, SLPs and other staff, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist.
• NBCOT certification preferred at Sanford Health facilities.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within first 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments.
• Evaluate physical, cognitive, developmental and psychosocial abilities and develop therapy goals.
• Document evaluation data and establish/modify therapeutic plans.
• Provide education to enhance understanding and functional outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and supervise assistants or students when needed.
