Job summary

Apploi is seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing team in the New Haven and Valley areas of Connecticut. You will evaluate patients, develop personalized treatment plans, and help clients regain independence in daily activities and mobility.

The role offers clinical independence, meaningful one-on-one patient care, and a flexible schedule with opportunities for full-time, part-time, or per-diem work within a community-based setting.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut Occupational Therapist license.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• CPR/BLS certification where required.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel within New Haven and Valley areas.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide occupational therapy services based on each patient's clinical needs and goals.
• Help patients improve independence with activities of daily living, mobility, safety, and functional skills.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, care managers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and organizational requirements.
• Travel throughout the assigned New Haven and Valley service area as needed.
