Our Team

Join our rehabilitation team of over 50 clinicians (physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology) with the opportunity to work in one of our three outpatient locations and/or an acute care hospital with 154 beds. Our featured hospital units include medical surgical, same day surgery, intensive care unit, progressive care unit, behavioral health unit, emergency department and women's services. At Haywood Rehabilitation, we value excellent patient care that ensures optimal outcomes, a collaborative team environment and a culture of respect. We employ a variety of specialty‑trained clinicians and feature one‑on‑one patient care. We offer flexibility that may include non‑traditional schedules to best meet patient and employee needs.

How You'll Contribute
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of those patients being treated by Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians and occupational therapy students. May orient staff and students and assume supervisory duties when appropriate.
  • Assess patients’ needs; identify and initiate appropriate occupational therapy interventions; work cooperatively with other patient team personnel to maintain professional standards and interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Observe and evaluate treatment effect and achievement of short‑ and long‑term goals. Recommend change to physician when needed.
  • Perform an appropriate assessment on each patient and conduct reassessments as per policy; perform accurate and timely QI scoring. Population is adult and geriatric patients requiring an adult medical rehabilitation program and services.
  • Assess patient pain that interferes with optimal level of function and participation in rehabilitation; make appropriate interventions to reduce pain and contact physician when necessary.
  • Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes safety and reduces likelihood of medical/health‑care errors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
