Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our rehabilitation team across outpatient locations and an acute care hospital with 154 beds. You will work under the supervision of an OTR/L to provide individualized therapy, assess needs, and help patients achieve functional goals.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and documentation in accordance with hospital policy.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in state.
• BLS certification obtainable within 30 days of hire.

• Under guidance of supervising OTR/L: assess patient information and implement comprehensive therapy programs using varied techniques.
• Review and modify treatment plans as patient needs change; identify equipment and discharge needs.
• Ensure safety by recognizing injuries/diagnoses and contraindications.
• Provide treatment to diverse patient populations and document per hospital policy and State Practice Act.
• Observe progress toward short- and long-term goals and adjust plans with supervising OTR/L if needed.
• Coordinate with support staff regarding treatment orders as directed by supervising OTR/L.
• Conduct class/group sessions (stroke, SCI, BI) as appropriate.

Join our rehabilitation team of over 50 clinicians (physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology) with the opportunity to work in one of our 3 outpatient locations and/or an acute care hospital with 154 beds. Our featured hospital units include medical surgical, same day surgery, intensive care unit, progressive care unit, behavioral health unit, emergency department and women's services. At Haywood Rehabilitation, we value excellent patient care that ensures optimal outcomes, a collaborative team environment and a culture of respect. We employ a variety of specialty trained clinicians and feature one-on-one patient care. We offer flexibility that may include non-traditional schedules to best meet patient and employee needs.

• Under guidance of supervising OTR/L: Acquires pertinent information and implements comprehensive program using varied techniques and treatment activities; reviews and modifies treatment in response to changing patient needs; identifies equipment and discharge needs.
• Is aware of patient injury/diagnosis and takes all necessary precautions for observing indications and contradictions.
• Provides treatment to diverse diagnostic populations and completes supporting documentation according to hospital policy and State Practice Act.
• Observes treatment affect, accomplishment of short and long term goals and recommends change to the supervising OTR/L, if needed.
• Communicates collaborates with support personnel regarding treatment orders as directed by the supervising OTR/L.
• Conducts the class/group situations (stroke, SCI, BI) as appropriate.
