Job summary

Tacoma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our 5-star skilled therapy team. We offer Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN opportunities with a competitive hourly wage of $60.00–$70.00 based on experience and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

The OT evaluates residents, develops treatment plans, and delivers therapy to improve ADLs, strength, and independence. You’ll document progress and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support residents’ best outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Valid Washington State license as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and functional assessments of residents’ needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy goals.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services to improve ADLs, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
• Document all evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge plans according to facility and regulatory standards.
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Supervise OTAs, rehab aides, and students as appropriate.
• Maintain a valid Washington OT license and stay current with regulatory and professional standards.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and therapy colleagues.
• Stay current with continuing education and best practice guidelines.
